SALE OF LAND NEAR KAIAPOI.

Mr W. Buss, at his auction rooms, Rangiora, to-day, held a successful sale of lands near Kaiapoi on account of an old resident. Mr A. Durell, for Whom Mr Alexander Weir is agent. There was a large attendance and spirited biddings. In R.S. 381, the lots which were sold were —Lot 1,5 acres 3 roods 32 perches, £34 per acre, Mr P. Foley; lot _~• 9 acres 3 roods 15 perches, and lot 3, 12 acres 2 roods 26 perches, £38 per acre, to Mr Stephen Burgess; lot 4,3 acres 4 roods 22 poles, £40 per acre, Mr P. Foley ; lot 5, 15 acres 3 roods, 2 poles, £41 per acre, Mr R. Evans; lot 6,12 acres 2 roods 7 poles, on Middle Island road, part R.S. _S, £38 per acre, Clothier Brothers ; lot 7, an acre in Sneyd street, part R.S. 366, £61, Mr T. McFall; lot 8, a quarter acre in the same street, £45, Mr James Ross. Total result of sale £2422, or an average of £39 Is per acre on 62 acres.
