TO THB EDITOR Off TBI FBXSS. 1 Sib,—lt Is very gratifying to notice thai your paper has recorded most impartial!]! both sides of the Question tn connection with the recent strike in our borough, anal further in the direction of our efforts tol get, at the least, a fair share off the work' now offering here, whereas, on the other 1 hand, the Lyttelton Times appears to have' entirely deserted as, and falls to acquaint us truthfully with what is going on. The poor farmers were the victims at the hands of your contemporary last year, and now 1890 witnesses us as victims No. 2. I hope my fellow-TJnionlsts in Christchurch will remember who their real friends are on Friday week next, My wife and family join with mc in the cry, "Save us from our friends."—Yours, &a, Wharf Labokkb, Lyttelton, 24th November.
