NOTICE Is Hereby Given that in exercise of the power In that behalf conferred On It by "The Counties Act, 1836," the Council of tbe County of Seiwyn propose to raise by way of Special Loan the sum of Two Thousand Five Hundred Pounds (in addition to the sum of £1000 already authorised) for the purpose of conu>leting the scheme for an auxiliary supply of water from the River Waimakivriri, near the Gorge Bridge, und connecting tho same with tbe Water Races in the Malvern Water Race District, and also proposes to impose and levy a Special Rate of not exceeding one twentieth of a penny in the Pound sterling- upon tho rateable value of all the lands within t' c said district in the said County, as defined ib Special-Orders made on the 1-th day of April, 1884, and 7th April.
