♦ WELLINGTON RACING CLUFS MBErING. [press association telegram,] WELLINGTON, November 23. Fine weather was again enjoyed for the concluding day's racing of the Wellington Spring Meeting and the attendance about ' the same as on the previous day. Admirals Valois and several officers from the ' German squadron were present, and the band from H.LM.S. Leipsig played on the. lawn during the day. The sum of £4506, «n-V-ing £8343 for the two days, and ___-48 more than last Spring Meeting, was put through the machine. The following are. the results:— Wxlxeb Handicap, of 60 soys. One and a ■ quarter miles. MrGeo. Hunter's Lenore, by Musket-Miss laura, 9at 21b -. .. (Sweeney) 1 __rA.Alloyd'B orator,9st .. (WUbrow) 2 Mr H. Bee-barn's Vision, Sst 71b (Clifford) 3 Angler. 9st 10ib; Gladstone, Bst 61b (Including Kb over) also ran. Orator and Vision led past the Stand, but at the river the former was steadied, and Vision showed tha way at the back ot the course when she fell away and Orator again went to the front. Entering thestraight Lenore came with a rush and at the distance had the race well in hand, winning by a length. Time, 2mla;l4£sec. Dividend, £4 10s. Hurdle Handicap of 50 soy. Oae and a half miles. Jacob, Sawdust, andArgoled for nearly a mile then the top weight went to the front and led to the last hurdle, when Jacob and Lonehand endeavoured to get -on terms but the favorite drew away with ease and won by four lengths. Time, 2mins-|sec. Dividend, £2 7s. - November Handicap of 120 soys. One mile . - and a distance. .Mr J. Hunter's Cyaisca, by ApremontNautUus, Ustolb .. .. (Clifford) 1 Mr J. Macara's Frolic. 6st Ulb .. (James) 2 Mr J. Paul's Boulanger, Bst 101b (CoUello) S ftebeUion, 7at 91b; Orator, 7st3lb; Cruiser, f st, also ran. £654 in totalisator; 200 on Boulanger, 180 Cyaisca, 134 Jftebellion, 71 Cruiser, U Frolic, 28 Orator. The flag fell to a good start, but Orator was slow in moving, and . soon' - fell away hopelessly in the rear.' Cynisca and Frolic showed the way to the back of the course, when Boulanger, 1 Cynisca and Rebellion closed up, and the ■race was a pretty oue to the road, when Cynisca drew out clear from the ruck. All the whips were out except on the daughter of Apremont, who came on full oi running, and won rather easily by a length and a half, Frolic being half a length in front of Boulanger. Smith's Fly, 7et _lb .. .. (Oollello) 3 These were the only starters. Once Again led on sufferance until reaching the straight, when the favorite came away,, and won without being extended. Divi-dend-31135. No time was taken. The winner was bought in for £87. The Novel Kace, of 555 soys, threeSuarters of a mile, was won by Merlin, 'ey being second, and Charlie third. ' Dividend £9.' Josophine ?Bt &D, and Box iron 7st, also rau. owing to the starter sending the horses from the four furlong post, the race had to be run twice. On the first occasion Retina got away with the lead, which she maintained to the straight, When Boulanger came with a rattle, and under the whip won by hah_a length, Retina second, Angler third. XJsne, 53sec. A protest was entered, and tho Stewards decided -' to run the race again. This time Boulanger got a Hying stare, «.nd making all the use of it won rather easily from Rebellion. ]Hq time was taken. Dividend, £-6*.
