PARLIAMENTARY CANDIDATES.

Appended is a list of the candidates announced as standing for the various seats at the general election. In classifying the list we .nave annexed the letter " M." (signifying Ministerial) to those candidates whose views are in sympathy with those of the present Government party, and who would support a Ministry—not necessarily composed of the same members as the present Cabinet— formed to carry out those views. ■ In the same way Opposition candidates (indicated by the letter "0.") are those who have expressed themselves in accord ■, with Mr Ballanca and his party on progressive taxation and kindred sub^aot*, ■*'■•__'• indicates Independent " D." means Doubtful. " L." means Labor oandldate-r-that Is, a candidate who is. being avowedly "run" by the Labor party, or who appeals to it mainly for support.
