The deaths of persona not residents of boroughs occurring a 6 hospitals have been excluded in all case*. The total births ia the above boroughs amounted to 474, against 396 in September an Increase of 78. The deaths in October were 164, a decrease of 33 on the number in September. Of the total deaths, males contributed 97, females 67. Forty o£ the deaths were of children under 5 years of age, being 27.44 per cent, of the whole number, and 26 of these were under 1 year of age.
