GISUOBNE, November 21. la the vicinity of the Waipiro hot springs .roams a wild bull, whioh., is a source of danger to travellers; Yesterday two horsemen chased the bull. One fired a gun and hit it. The beast charged the other man named Maguire, overthrowing horee and rider, and killing the horse, whilst Maguire waa underneath. • It then attacked the other man, who fired seven ehoto into the animal before it gave up the %ht and made- for the bosh. Haguire was not severely hurt.
