(EBBSS ASSOCIATION TBUKtKAMS.) NELSON, November 2L The Westport and Cape Foulwind Labor Unions' ease is still proceeding, and will certainly occupy the whole of to-day. WELLINGTON, November 21. A number of the permanent staff of the Harbor Board laborers, who went out on strike, have applied to the Board lor reengagement. The Board said it could do nothing in thejmatter, as they had retained free laborers In the service. The Federated Trades Council have passed a resolution to the effect that a Joint Committee should be appointed in each city of the colony for the purposes Of Arbitrating tn all differences affecting trades connected with the Employers Association or Trades Council, and by conciliatory methods prevent strikes. -As several of the retail drapers and hairdressers in the city have broken their; promises with regard to earl; dosing, the Trades and Labor Council request the Unions affected to publish a list of fair traders, and deal only with those on the list.

The Batchers' Employees' Conference closed to-day. It was decided to die-; affiliate from all Trades Councils throughout the colony, and to form a new Association, to be called the New Zealand Federated Batchers' Employees' Union, having its headquarters in Wellington.

The ordinary meeting of the Christchurch Plumbers and Gasfltters* Union was held on Friday, 21st Inst, the President, Mr BiltclUT, in the chair. A quantity of correspondence from various sources was read and dealt with. A deputation was received from the Trades and Labor Council re assistance to wharf laborers, dome matters affecting the rules and the Masters , Association were deferred to the next meeting, wnich will be a special one. The meeting was then closed.
