STREET ACCIDENT IN WELLINGTON.

Mr Ptttnam, of tke Public WOrka Department, and conductor of the Operaiic Society, was thrown out of hie buggy on Lambton Quay to-night, a steamroller frightening the horse. Hβ sustained serious injury and concussion of the brain. Hβ whs taken to the hospital tmconsoioUe. A horse trainer named Millsir <?a3 also thrown off his horse this evening* and was seriously hurt similarly to Mir Putnam.
