The Sydenham Bowling Club opened their season on Saturday. There was a large attendance on the ground both of ladies and. gentlemen?* and, besides the bowling, the two tennis courts were occupied all the afternoon. The opening rink, in which the President (Mr G. T. Booth) Messrs Deene, Campbell and Throp (skip) v Captain Meikleham, Messrs Lawrence, Brewe and .Allison (skip) took part, was won by the latter team, the scores being 21 to 16.
