A PECULIAR CASE.
)(PBXSB ASSOCIATION- TILBGRAH.) WELLINGTON, NoVember 3. A peculiar case is reported from feather* stone. John Granger, a ganger on the Kimutaka Summit, state* that he quarrelled with his wife, and that she cut his throat with a knife. Oα the other hand, Mrs Granger states hex husband came home drunk, and attempted to use a penknife on her. She left the house, and returned in fifteen minutes, when she found her husband lying in bed' bleeding, but did not then know his throat was cut. Tbe wound ie in the front of the throat, and is about an inch and a quarter in length. Medical assistance was obtained, but the .wound is not dangerous. Granger was , arrested on a charge of attempted suicide, and remanded.
