The match Normal Students, Past r Present, resulted in a win for the Past by 27 runs on the first innings. The scores were:-Past—First inuinga, 68: Bean 17, Evans 23. Second innlnes, 112 for six wickets: Craddock 35, Schneider 28. Present—3l on first Innings: Baird 12. Craddock and Bean bowled well for the Past, as did Moses and Waller for the Present. ' A match between the West Melton C.C. and a team from the combined Club* of Springaton, Dunnandel, and • eeeton, was played on the Springstoo ground on Saturday. The combined team batted first, and made 4tf: Dr. Withers 15, Wright 13. West Melton responded with Sβ, the top scorers being Bernie 9 and Tricket 8. In the second innings the combined team made 47, D. Marshall (Iβ) beiug the only batsman who got double figures. With two wickets down, West Melton, oa the second venture, made 26, G. Gudsell, with 14. being not out. For West Melton Gudseil and Trickett were the moat euc cessful bowlers, Morehead and LIU beinp{ the best trundlers on the other side. Aβ no arrangement was made as to decision on first Innings, the match resulted in ft dtaw.
