[ .ADubUn correspondent telegraphed to an English paper:—Military circles In Dublin , have been very muchagitatedo wing to Lord a military Mineral which ;was to have taken place in Dublin lately on the occasion of-the burial of General Sir William Jones, G.C.8., Colonel of the Ist Battalion '< ot the Duke of Cornwall's light infantry I (32nd Foot), who died on Monday. The deceased was a distinguished officer, had seen much service, and was a personal ' friend of the Queen. Before his death he ! had expressed a wish that he should rej ceive a soldier's burial, and Prince JEdward of Saxe Weimar, commanding tbe troops in Ireland, after communicating with London, gave his sanction to the military ! funeral being announced in the garrison i orders of yesterday. At ten o'clock last atebt, however, a telegram came countermanding the military arrangements. This, s however, was not generally known early this morning, and a large number of police and others assemhled atthedeoeased .residence at Lahsdowne road to assist at the ceremony. When the relatives heard of the change that had been made they were deeply pained, and at the last moment they Mdtosend to an undertakers to obtain Ahorse to convey the coffin to tbe cemetery.
