To-day six old men, perfectly harmleW a nd suffering only from senile decay, wer« discharged from the Lunatis Asylum and brought into the Charitable Aid Board Office. This is the latest development oi the discussion which has been proceeding between the Asylum Authorities and th« Board, the former asserting that there are forty patients in tho Asylum who should not be there, but at the Old Men'a Refuge, and tnat as tho Board have now a new Befuge at Epsom they should take charge of these people. Tha Board authorities were taken by surprise, and aa no preparations had been made to receive the six patients the old men had perforce to gj to the Police Station. A special meeting of the Board is to be held tomorrow to consider the subject.
