LAND BOARD.
An ordinary meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held on Thursday, when there were present Messrs J. H. Baker, D. McMillan, and W- Kitson. The following cash sales were made-.—Section 35945, 28a 2r 20p, Tengawai district, to the Otago and SjufehlandlnvestmentCompany; section atil97 66a, Shepherd's Bash district, to George Roberts; section 36198, 56a, Geraldine aistriet, to W. JBL Macdonald. The Board decided to open two pieces of Crown land at Alford Forest and near Waihori, on special conditions, and to offer the xieht to occupy, for grazing purposes, Swerve 282, Rangitata; part of2Bß,Bakaia • and 2814 and 2815; by public competition. A number- of rangers' reports were read, and action ordered to be taken.
