[PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] WELLINGTON, May 1. The following are the vital statistics for the month of March, 1890 :—

The de ths of persons not rediueuta of boroughs occurring at Hospitals have been excluded in all cases. The total births in the above boroughs amounted co 410, against 394 in February, an increase of 25. The deaths in March were 196, an increase of 85 on the number in February. Of the total deaths males contributed 117, and females 79. Eighty of the deaths were of children under five years of age, being 40.82 per cent, of the whole number, 68 of these were under one year of age.
