After leaving Algoaßay she experienced a fresh gale with terrific cross sea, the ship rolling heavily. Chains were put down below and the propeller was lashed up to the ship's side until a tackle was rigged, when it was put down and secured amongst the coals in the lower hold. The holes in the ship's side were then barricaded with boards, and concrete put between them. The whole of her staunchions, pumps, and sounding pipes in the 'tween decks were carried away. Afterwards she had moderate weather to arrival. The vessel goes into the Graving Dock to-morrow.
