Eight hundred tenders were received for the Yictoriau ii 4,000,000 loan, covering .£13,613,000 -Tenderers at -6101 9a (id get 50 per cent. The average price ia expected to be -5101 1 Is. A syndicate tendered for several millions at 4UOI 9s 6d v Banks and syndicates teudered largely, at lower prices with a view of simply swelling the total amount offered, i'iie lowering of the Ban- rate of discount from _•£ to 3 per cent, raised the average price sa. With the exception, of a few small outsiders, tho highest tender was £10:J 13s. Received April 18th, 6.10 p.m. I London, April. I if., „ The official average of the Victorian loan is £101 10s sd, The loan is Belling at 31s 6d premium. \ Received April 19th, 1.25 a.m. London, April 18, One syndicate applied, for three and a half million- of the Victorian loan.. .
