EdaeatioßaL THE EDUCATION BOARD OF THE DISTRICT OF NOSTH CANTERBURY. THE Education Board of the District of North Canterbury hereby puulicly notifies that, in pursuance of the power conferred by the Education Act, 1877, it has resolved to FORM a NEW SCHOOL DISTRICT, to be called LAUBROOKJfi'S. and to alter che boundaries of the districts of Halswell, Prebbleton,' Lincoln, and Tai Tapu, so that certain portions tif those districts as formerly constituted shall: be included in the District of Ladbrooke'e. The Board hereby calls PUBLIC MEETINGS of the HOUSEHOLDERS in the above-men-tioned districts, to be held on MONDAY, the twenty-eighth day of April, 1890, at seven o'clock in the evening, for the purpose of Electing Committees for such districts. The place of meeting in each case shall be the Schoolhouse. The Board further directs that the firat meeting of each School Committee be held in the place appointed for the election immediately after election upon the same evening. BOUNDARIES OF THE LADBROOKS'S SCaOOL DISfRICT, Commencing at the South-west corner of Section 2498; thence in a generally northerly direction following th» Northwestern and North-eastern boundaries of 24U8, the North-western boundary of Section 2821, (<nd a line in. coutiuuation thtroof to the South-western boundary of Section 421; thence following the southern, western, and northern boundaries of Section 421 and the noithern boundary of Section 1342, to the Soiuh-west corner of Section 2853, and thence by the ■western boundaries of 2853, 13& S. aud _:x;7 to the South-west corner of Sectiou lauo; incnco in a generally easterly direction by tho southern auU eastern boundaries of U66 to the road' North thereof, and thence by said road to the road JSaat of Section 1106; thence in a generally southerly direction by the latter road to the South-east 'comer of Section 4980, thecce by the southern boundary of 4980 and a line in continuation theretf westerly to the western boundary of section 5078, and thence by said boundary aad the Drain Reserve running through Section 5322 to the northern side of the Halswell io<*d; and from thence returning in a westerly direction to the commencing point.

Commencing at the South-eastern corner of Section lUBon the Lincoln road, following along the Northeastern boundary thereof to the water-course, on the South side .of Section 348; following westerly along that water-course to the North-ease corner of Section 1246; following along the Southeastern ana part of the. South-western boundary thereof to the eastern corner of Section loll; following along the Southeastern boundary of toat section to the southern corner, thence following a rigbc line to tne road at tho North-wesc side of Sdction 867; following South-westerly along the said road and the North-west boundary of Section 952 to the dry river--bed of the River Halsvell; bounded on the westward by the Prebbluton and Ladbrooke diatriots, on the South the latter distrioc, by a line in continuation of the Southern boundary of Section 4980 to the road West of Section 951; thence Southerly along the latter road to the River Halswell; thence in a straight line to Case PeaJcr thence following tbe ridge of the bills to the top of Hoon Hay Vauey ; on the Eastward by the eastern side of the said valley to the South-western corner of Section W4i; and thence by a straight line to the Southeastern corner 01 Section lud on tbe Lincoln road. BOUNDARIES OF~LINCOLN SCHOOL DISTRICT. ■ ■ Commencing at a point on Shand's road, the same being tho North-western corner of Section 3653, thence by the North-western boundaries ot tbab section and Sections 3878, 366tf, 3665, 3200, 3187, 3203, 3209, 3*lo, 3676 and 3184 to the North-west corner of Reserve 21S; thence by the South-western boundaries of that reserve and Sections 1031, 4946 and 32571, by the Southern boundaries of 3189 and 2725, to the Southeastern corner of Section 2725; thence southerly, by the Sprinjre road to the South-western corner of Section 2987; thence easterly by the road forming the Southern boundaries of Sections 2&7 and 6306 to the North-west corner or 7644; thenoe northerly along the stream and lagoon to the North-western corner of Section 9515; thence North-easterly along the North-western boundary of said section to its North-east corner; thence North-westerly along the North-eastern boundary of Section 9525, and Northeasterly along the South-eastern boundaries of Sections 10211, 9449 and Southeasterly along the South-western boundary of Section 4727 to the river Halswell; thence North-eaaterly by the river Halswell and the creek forming the eastern boundary of Section 1882 to the North-east corner of 'Section 2963; thence in a straight line to the North-eastern corner of Section bill; thence westerly and northerly by Ladbrooke district to the Halsweli road by Ladbrooke's; thence by said road to tbe JMorth-east corner of Reserve 200; thence southerly by the eastern boundary of that reserve to its southern corner; thence westerly by the North-eastern boundary of Section £455 to its northern corner; thence southerly by the eastern boundaries of Sections 4&o), 3126,3644,2904, ta the southern corner of the latter section; thenoe by the southern boundary of that section to the starting point. ■ -■■
