Craig, asMng for the formation of road leading to his section near Dobbins Ford. It was arranged for the Overseer to see Mr Craig, and see what was required to be done. Mr Woodward , interviewed the Board about gravelling Wopdville street, which was promised * some* time ago. It was decided to proceed with this work, also with the unfinished portion of Selwyd street. The Overseer's report was read and approved. The annual meeting was fixed for the lsc day of May, and the election for the 3rd of May. Ordinary meeting at 10 a.m. on the Ist day of May.: Tenders were opened for a number of works in connection with the cleaning of drains, and the lowest tender accepted in each case. The pay-sheet, amounting to £93 9a, was examined and passed for payment. It was agreed to put a culvert in the old creek on Stewart's road, near Mr Bobt. Moore's, Brookaide. It was also resolved to put a culvert iv the Beetham road in the line of Scott's drainage, and improve the drain through McKellar's. The Board resolved, as a Board of Health, to copsider a report o£ Dr. Gossefct <Sf two cases of typhoid fever in Leeston. The Inspector was instructed to see the locality was kept clean, and to get the residents to use disinfectants*
