RAKAIA.
The annual meeting in connection with St. Mark's Church, jtiakaia, was held in the Public Library on Thursday. There, was a small attendance, and the Rev. H. Collins presided. : The Chairman read a report of the work done in the parish, including Barrhill, Mechven, Chertsey, and Doric, which on the whole was considered satisfactory. _ Mr Broadbent, Minister's Warden and Treasurer, read; the report and. balance-sheet tor the past year, showing a, debit balance of 15s. 7d, but this would be, more than covered by subscriptions outstanding. The report and balance-sheet were adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Mr Broadbent, Minister's Warden; Mr W. B. Dixon, Parishioners' Warden: Messrs Gorringe, Gee, Bryant, and Dr. Cordner, Vestrymen. Tisio Chairman stated' that something would have to be done in connection with the Sunday school, as it was likely to fall through. Mr Hardy offered to reorganise theM Sunday school, and propounded a scheme, the matter being, eventually lefC over for the consideration of the Vestry.
