The annual report of. ;the Wellington Operatic Company states that die operas, "The Pirates of Penzance " and "Bip van Winkle" were successfully rendered, oat the apathy of the public support ia deplored. The receipts for the year were £1207, including £275 brought forward— « Pirates of Pensance," ; " Eip Van Winkle," £352. The ; expenditure was £1195, leaving , a balance of £12. The expenditure included £40 to charitable institutions, and £10 to the School of Design. His Excellency the Governor was elected Patron.
