This morning Carbine and Antteus ran a mile and halt together. Tarcoola picked them up at the last mile, and finished well with CarbineTime, 2min 59sec Antaeus was beaten at the finish, the last mile being done in Imin 53$ sec Melos went strongly for a mile and a half, concluding With a sharp burst for six furlongs. Rudolph again beat Dread nought and Singapore badly over a mile and a half. Time, 2min 69sec. Dreadnought was four lengths behind, and Singapore hopelessly iv the rear. Whimbrel beat Gatling in a six furlongs spin. Time, Imin 25436 c. Correze and Argos had a mile flutter, the former coming off best. Sir William did the best gallop of the morning, doing his mile In Imin 33sec. Insignia beat Aston over six furlongs, the time being Imin 27isec Keaeivcd April 4th, 1.15 a.m. SYDNEY, April 3. The following horses have dropped out Of tbe Cup :-. Singapore, Honeydew, Skiff, Lord Prix, Serf, The Tyler, and Tartar. Carbine still maintains his position at the head Of the betting, but 5 to 2 is freely offered against him. Quotations for other horses are unchanged. There has been a deal of wagering on. the Doncaster Handicap, and fourteen of the thirty-two acceptors have been' backed for large stakes. Prelude and Muriel are even favorites, 100 to 11 being the best offer against either. Received April sth, 1.15 a,m. SYDNEY, April 4. Betting oh the Sydney Gold Cup is Unchanged.
