THE IRISH DELEGATES IN DUNEDIN.

DUNEDIN, November 9.
The Irish national delegates addressed a crowded meeting afcjthe Garrison Hall to-night, a charge being made: for admission. The building was decorated with national and symbolical devices. Mr J. B. Callan presided, and on the platform were Sir E. Stout, Dr. Fitchett, and Mr Pyke, M.H.R/s, the Eev. E. Waddell, and other prominent citizens, while in the hall were the Beys. Porter and Dutton, and Dr. Belcher. A number of ladies presented the delegates with an address and a Maltese cross for each in greenstone, mounted with gold. Mr Dillon then delivered a lengthy speech. Sir K. Stout proposed "That the meeting endorses the principle of the Irish Home Bule movement, believing that local self-government, while preserving the Imperial connection, will be for the benefit alike of Ireland and the Empire." This was seconded by Dr. DeZouche and supported by Dr. Moran. A resolution, thanking the Delegate* and pledging the meeting to assist, the Irish and Parlia* mentary leaders by every legitimate means, was also carried. The amount taken at the doors was JESO, and about JB3sOwas subscribed in the room, making .£4OO, which is expected to be added to. The meeting lasted till past eleven o'clock.
