The ordinary meeting of this Board *&» held on Monday. Present—Messrs J Sinclair, F. Spencer, and J. W. Preb&cu Mr Sinclair was voced to the chair. An apology was tendered for the Chainuaife absence. Correspondence was read—From the Temple ton Road Board, ia reply to tb® Boards letter re diversion of storawatsf on the South road, statiag tk&l it wea this Board's duty to look to the outlet. The Clerk was instructed to reply, that m the Templeton Board have completely fg. nored the purport of the letter, they be asked to re-convey the diverted water into its original channel. From Use Selwyn County Council, forwarding cheque for huif-cost of Board's expenditure on poisoned grata and intimating that they will give Ml for every £2 expended by the Board during che summer months for the purchase of small birds' egge and heads. From Mr J. W. Anderson, giving permission to enlarge the drain through fala land. The Clerk's report waa read aed dealt with. Kesolved—That tenders i>B invited, returnable in a fortnight, lbs completing the drain through Mr E. Preoble's land. The tender of Gallagher and Hodgen was accepted for reformist road. Mr Prebble moved that the Clers prepare a statement of accounts, to lm laid before the Board at Its nest ineoUogAgreed to. Besolved->That 200 yards ot broken metal be arranged for, and traders called for carcing 100 yards of screened shingle.
