EARLY CLOSING.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE PRESS. Sir, —In your issue of Thursday there appears a letter on the subject of early closing. The question is one that very greatly interests and affects a large proportion of our town population, very many are employed at indoor occupations who have no opportunity of getting exercise and recreation by daylight on any day except Sunday, and yet many people deplore the fact that Sunday is now becoming a day of pleasure making. lam one of those so employed; my feel* ings prompt mc to attend church on Sunday, but consideration for my health causes mc to take a walk or a bicycle ride instead. Sooner or later we shall have to work Sunday and weekday — woe to us then. If there was a weekly half-holiday for all, such a thing would be averted.— Yours, &c, Shopman.
