ALL THE RAGE. MIDGET PHOTOGRAPHS, 2s 6d per dozen, On beautiful gilt bevelled-edged mounts.
Photographer to the Governor and Elite of Canterbury, is now UkmgPhotog*aphs cheaper than any other photographer m New Zealand. The Cabinets are reduced from 60s to 10s per dozen, and are undoubtedly the finest finished photographs to be had in the colony. A large staff of artists are constantly employed, and the operator has had twenty-six years experience in the art, and as Eden George per* sonally teupervisea the work none pat the highest finished photographs will be allowed to leave the studio. The enlarge ing, printing and finishing rooms have been made the most extensive to the colonies, so that, excepting unusuallybad weather, all excuses for delay in executing orders are now happily at an end. COLORED PHOTOGRAPHS. : An Accomplished Artist has been im. ported for this branch, and Ladies and Children's Photographs can now be beautifully colored. SPECIAL NOTICE. Although all prices have been considerably reduced, the prestige of my Establishment will be maintained, and ladles can depend upon their photos not being exhibited in restaurants, tobacconists, and on street corners, as is usually the case when patronising a cheap photographer, EDEN GEORGE'S FASHION ABLE PHOTOGRAPHIC STUOIO. Nora—As there is a photographer im mediately next door, persons are particularly requestednot to mistake my entrance. Ed«n Gbobok. family~groups. The magnificent Groups of Families, Football Clubs, &&, taken at our Studio have elicited the most flattering encomiums from the Press, and all persons who have entrusted us with their orders have been highly delighted at the results. 12 by 10 photographs taken of Clubs, beautifully enamelled and supplied at 4s H&elboukne exhibition. [From a Victorian .Totjrwail Mr Eden George, of. Christchurch, N.Z., exhibits a splendid collection of photographs, which are so remarkably clear and striking as to place Mr Eden George a,t the head of his professions. Nothing finer, of their kind, perhaps, have ever been produced than the two portrait* of Sir William Jervois and the late Sir Julius yon Haast. Scarcely if at all less remarkable are the two full - length portraits of two ladies. The wonderful manner in which the drapery and ostrich feathers are detailed in the one to the left is a proof that the operator is a thorough master of the art. Even more attractive !s a frame of pedestal photographs of ladies, "taken JCrom life." These not only have a new and original appearance, but must be regarded as a faultless production of the photoerapher's art. The whole of the portraits exhibited are equally noticeable for the natural and artistic character of the pose, the subtlety and beauty of the half-tones, and that indescribable something. that painters have called quality. It is almost a pity that Mr Eden George should have entered his exhibit not for.competition. PHOTO. STOCK DEPARTMENT. Cabinet Dry Plates, Is per doz Silver, 3s 4o per oz Paper, £5 15s per ream
