THE CANTERBURY COURT.
TO THE KDITOB OF THK PRSBS. Sm,—The local Exhibition Committee have decided to spend £200—if they can get Chrifltctrorch people to subscribe that much—on decorating' the Canterbury Court in the Donedin Exhibition. Kindly allow mc space to express a hope that a general rumor which I hear is incorrect. That rumor is that the order for the decorations is to be given to » man In Dunedin. all our local painters and decorators being passed over. I think that the money gathered here should be spent here if possible, and that Christchurch tradesmen should, at least, be given a chance of showing whether they are as fit to be entrusted with the work as any inDanedln.—Yours, Stc?., ___,„.
