PURCHASE OF A COASTING STEAMER.

WELLINGTON, September 2L Captain Harvey Wilkinson, in the coasting trade, and -rho is at present in Australia, has purohased the steamer Queen of the South, for the New Zealand coasting trade. She leaves Sydney for WeUington. via Newcastle .to-morrow. The Queen of the South is 198 gross and 121 tons net measurement.
