Some 427 was collected, and with .£2O given by' Government, to pay the arrears of interest on their mortgage for the next twelve months, as' Well as supplying a quantity of goods, bedding, &c, Which 1 was to be sent to the land owned by them, and some £o cash to be handed over. They at first agreed to thifr, although they talked about being swindled out of JB2OO, and signed a document. Though promised enough to btty a cow or two; they at the critical moment declined to go, without JB2OO was' given them, and those interesting themselves in the eopple appear determined ho W to leave them to their fate.
