MINING NEWS.
iBY T-tL_BOBAPH.I [noa oxtb coKB-tsFonnmr.] REEFTON, September 20. The Exchange quotations to-day show Ally one or two alterations. Inkermans have advanced, buyers now offering 27s 3d. Nils-also have buyers at 7s 4d. Globes are about at yesterday's price. There has been a deal of business done to-day in Resolutions, which have been largely bought up localy at prices np to ls 4_d- The Exchange selling price to-night is Is 6d. There is a report current as I write that an improvement has come in in the Nil Desperandum mine, and I merely give the report for what it may be worth. Inkerman—Reports from the mine continue very encouraging. A surface level was recently started northward from the month of tbe main shaft, and after going a few feet into the hill the reef was met with. The width of Bione is about a foot, and equal in quality to that below. The .cause of tne sudden demand for Resolutions is not exactly clear yet, beyond the fact that the Directors reported the existence of solid stone in two places on the ground. It is, however, intended to put on bands on Mo day next to explore the stone, so that its value »ill soon be known. In the meantime, the striking of the north stone by the Inkerman is thonght to rather favor the property of the Seward.
