LORD CRANLEY.
[PRESS ASSOCIATION TKLEGRAM.I WELLINGTON, August 7. A telegram was received at Government House this morning stating Lord Cranley shows signs of amelioration, but his condition is sufficiently serious to cause grave anxiety for several days. NELSON, August 7. Lord Onslow arrived early this morning by a steao.er which made a special call here. On enquiry to-night it was learnt that Lord Cranley was a shade better.
[JBOM OTTB SPECIAL COEEBSPONDEHT.] WELLINGTON, August 7. At seven o'clock this evening the Premier received the following telegram from Lord Onslow, the time of despatch from Nelson beinrf 6.26 p.m.:—" Lord Cranley'e condition is less favorable than this morning, the fever is higher, and the patient reetlesa." ?,;Moch anxiety is felt for the child here, as it is known that his life is now hanging by a thread, and it is regarded 88 certain that his death would lead to Lord Onelow's resignation and return to England.
