Tuesday, August. 6. (Before C. Whitefoord, Esq., R.M., and 12. R. Good, Esq., Mayor.) Dog Registration Act. —W. J. Boyce, the owner of a dog over the age of six months and unregistered for fourteen days, who did not appear, was fined 10s. W. Carboy. R. Bailey, B. Bradley, M. Fitsgibbon and O. FitzGerald, who had registered their dogs after service of the summons, were respectively fined 5s and costs. Applications.—On the motion of Mr Wynn Williams, the Resident Magistrate said so soon a«» convenient he would, with himself and Mr Gresson, who represented tbe appellant, settle issues for appeal in the matter of a case heard at Kaiapoi, Parnharn v Weston. Also, on Mr Williams' application, the Resident Magistrate said in the case of Rider v Anderson, as the counter case Anderson v Rider had been decided in another Court, the judgment of this Court would operate.

Civil Casks. —J. Kennedy v A. McCaron and wife, a claim for £25, the value of a quantity of articles, including a watch, locket, brooch, and earrings, the property of the late John Elkin, of Girder bridge, and his wife also deceased. Mr Gresson for plaintiff, Mr Spackman fpr defendants. Plaintiff was administrator of the estate of the late Mr Elkin, who was hla daughter.
