The Rosamond and Orowaiti arrived yesterday from Greymouth with 1150 tons coal, 5000 firebricks, 222 fireclay blocks, 5 tans fireclay, and 5 tons coke, for the Grey Valley, Coal Company. Clyde, schooner, from Foxton, arrived in port early yesterday morning. Alert, schooner, from Waitapu, arrived yesterday afternoon. Rosamond, s-s., from Greymouth, with a cargo of coal, arrived yesterday afternoon at 4.30. Tarawera, s.s., Union Company's steamer. Captain Sinclair, arrived at 8 a.m. yesterday from the North. Her purser reports:—Left Auckland at 12.15 p.m. on Ist, Gisborne 9 p.m. on 2nd, Napier 2.30 p.m. 3rd, Wellington 4 p.m. sth, arriving as stated above. Experienced head winds to Wellington, thence fine weather ;to arrival. She left for Dunedin at 1.45 p.m. yesterday. Rotorua, s.s., Union Company's steamer, Captain Neville, arrived at 9 a.m. yesterday from Dunedin. She left Dunedin at 8.30 p.m. ou sth, and arrived as above. At 10 p.m. she left for Wellington. Jane Douglas, s.s., steamed hence for Akaroa yesterday afternoon. Mawhera, s.s., for Auckland, got away yesterday afternoon at 4.45 p.m. Orawalti, s.s., left for Westport yesterday evening. Clematis, ketch, from Havelock, arrived last night. A steamer from the North was signalled as our report left Lyttelton last Comet, ketch, from Lyttelton on the 27th nit, arrived at Oamaru on the 30th ult. She left on the 2nd inst, for Napier, and arrived there on the sth inst., being two and a half days on the passage up the toast.

Prince Rupert, ketch, arrived at Invercargill on Saturday last from Lyttelton on Ihe 25th ult. She leads timber for Akaroa. Reliance, ketch, from Lyttelton on the E4th nit., arrived at Invercargill on 31st Ult. She loads for Akaroa and Pigeon *ay.
