ORANGE CELEBRATIONS.
The members of the Temperance Orange Lodges completed the Twelfth of July celebrations by inviting those who had assisted at the late tea and public meeting to a social gathering at the Orange Hall on Monday evening. About fifty members and friends were present. The programme comprised addresses, songs and recitations, and during an interval refreshments were handed round. The proceedings terminated about eleven o'clock. The Courtenay L.0.L., No. 11, held a tea, concert and ball in their HaU on Friday, 12th inst., in commemoration of the Battle of the Boyne. There was a very fair attendance. The hall was very tastefully decorated. The following ladies presided over the tables at the tea: —Mesdames McClelland, Tweedie, Stevenson, Dysart, and Misses McClelland. Rollo, Hay, Ellis, Addington, Dysart, McNae and Robertson. At the concert which followed Bro. McClelland, W.M.. presided, and was supported by Bro. J. Dysart, District Master. The programme consisted of instrumental selections by Misses Bowler and Collier, songs by Misses Orchard, Collier and Bowler, Messrs Belgrave, Saunders, Bunting and Ellis, readings by Mr Grainger, recitations by Masters Dysart and H. and D. McClelland, and an address by the R.W.D.G.M., Rev. Bro. Ellis. Apologies for absence were received from Mr A. Saunders, i M.H.R., and the Rev. Mr Winter. A couple of hours' dancing was indulged in, the music being provided by Miss Bowler. The celebration was continued on Sunday, 14th inst., by a Church parade. All the j Lodges in No. 7 District were represented. Tbe service was conducted by the Rev. Bro. Ellis, Deputy Grand Master, who preached an able and impressive sermon.
