[PEEBS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.] DUNEDIN, July 15.

John Dawson, master of the Janet Ramsay, Charles Williams Orr, and William Cromar, owners, were charged before Mr Carew, with sealing at the Aucklands during the close season under circumstances already described. The defendants were fined" £5 103 for each of the seals killed. Sir R. Stout's application for exemption from forfeiture of the vessel, caused by conviction, will receive the consideration of the Magistrate.
