ROYAL BETROTHAL.
[per press association.] Received July Ist, __35 p__, London, June 30. A marriage has been arranged between Albert Victor, eldest son of the Prince of Wales, and his cousin. Princess Victoria of Germany, siste/ of the Emperor William.
Prince Albert Victor Christian Edward K.G., eldest son of the Prince and Princess of Wales, was born June Bth, 1364, and is therefore in bis 26th year. He was educated at Cambridge University. He was appointed a Naval cadet in 1377, midshipman, R.N., in 1879: Hon. Lieutenant R.N. Reserve in 1S83; and Lieutenant Second Brigade, E. Div., Royal Artillery, 1885, when he was transferred to the 10th Hussars. He was elected a bencner of the Middle Temple, January 21st, 1885. Princess Frederica Amelia Wilhelmina Victoria is the second daughter and third child of the late Emperor Frederick lIL and the Empress Victoria of Germany. Her Royal Highness was born at Potsdam on April 12th, 1866, and is, consequently, a little over twentythree years of age.
