The revenue of the financial year just ended amounts to £8,674,700, being an increase of £1,067,000. The principal increases are in Customs £526,000, and railways £372,000. THE ALLEGED "TREASURE ISLAND." The owner of the schooner Colonist declares that the vessel sailed on a legitimate cruise, and asserts that Weaver's yarn of a treasure island in the Pacific is pure fabrication.
