CHRISTCHURCH REGATTA CLUB.

The Committee of the above Club met at Warner's Hotel last night. PresentMessrs M. J. Kilgour (in the chair). J. J. Collins (Secretary). C. Allard (Treasurer), T. L. Smith, F. D. Kesteven, J. O. Jones, a F. Wright, B. M. Boulton, and Rowley. Mr Buchanan, Little River, wrote that Mr Coop had kindly promised to find a section of land 32 perches in size for the Club's use at Lake Forsyth, He would have preat pleasure in placing a cart at the Club's disposal on the day of the Regatta. The meeting passed a hearty vote of thanks to Messrs Buchanan and Coop. The Treasurer reported that cash in hand and at the Bank amounted to £81 7s, money for entries would amount to £37155, members' subscriptions £6 ss, subscriptions promised £23 2s; total £148 9s. The Secretary reported that Mr H. Thomson had consented to act as Judge. The following entries were received for the races at the regatta next Monday:— Maiden Pairs—Union, Canterbury, Kaiapoi, Lyttelton, Avon. Senior Fours— Union, Canterbury, Kaiapoi, Wellington. Maiden Double Sculls —Union, Kaiapoi, Lyttelton, Avon. Four-oared Outrigger, under twenty-one—Union, Kaiapoi, Lyttelton, Star. Champion Pairs—Union, Canterbury, Star, Wellington. Maiden Fours — Union, Canterbury, Kaiapoi, Avon. Junior Pairs—Union, Canterbury, KaiapoL Lyttelton, Star. Senior Double Sculls—Union, Canterbury, Wellington. Ladies' Plate —Union, Canterbury, Lyttelton, Star, Avon. Junior Double ScullsUnion, Canterbury, Kaiapoi, Lyttelton, Star, Avon. Single Sculls—Union, Wellington. A vote of thanks to the Chairman closed the meeting.
