Fat Sheep.—A. very large entry, the quality, on the whole, fairly good. The demand was materially strengthened by outside buyers, who were on the look out for sheep that would pay for further grazing, and with this relief values for a time were fairly well upheld. As the sale progressed, however, the demand became easier, and last week's partial recovery was lost, values being lower, if anything, than thoee ruling a fortnight since. Tbe primest crossbred wethers sold at from 9s 9d to 10s 6d, and in one case as high as 12s; medium weights, 8s 6d to 9s 3d; crossbred ewes sold at from 5s 3d to 9s; merino wethers, 4s to 5s 3d, being at from lid to lfd per lb, according to quality. Messrs Bennetts Bbos. sold for Mr John Smith, 33 crossbreds 6s 0d to 7s 9d ; for Mr A. F. Bennetts, 24 do at 8s 7d; for Mr P. Clark, a line of crossbred wethers at 9s 3d, and do at 7s 3d; for a client, 41 crossbred ewes at 7s 2d, 49 do at 5s lid ; for Mr A. W. Fat Lambs. —A very heavy entry, and a falling off in tbe demand, and a drop in values of about Is per head. Very primest sold at from 8s to 9s Id; medium, Ss 6d to 7s 3d.
