Arrived, 26th—Excelsior, barque, Captain Robb, from Newcastle; Invercargill, from Invercargill; Tarawera, from Bluff; Catlin, irom wairoa; Enterprise, from Napier: Beautiful Star, from Oamaru; Taranaki, ship, Captain Gordon, from London, after a remarkably fine weather passage of ninety-eight days, no westerlies being experienced. 9.50 a.m.—Paula, barquentine, Captain Breyman, forty-six days from Mauritius, with 250 tons of sugar for Dunedin and 100 for Lyttelton; 11 a.m., Opal, H.M.S., from Lyttelton; 2.30 p.m., Mathilde Hennings, barque, Captain Dale, 102 days from New York, with 950 tons of cargo; one-third, for Dunedin, the rest for Lyttelton. Sailed—Tarawera, for the Bluff. Bltjff, January 26. Sailed, 6.30 p.m.—Waihora, for Melbourne. Thirteen passengers from all ports. January 27. Sailed—l.ls a.m., ship Coromandel, for London.
