Ax Otbr-Cbowdxd PeoraseioH.— lt is commonly supposed that the Bar in London is the most over-crowded of professions, but certain disclosures made at Westminster County Court, on October 2nd, eeem to show that the medical profession runs the Bar very dose in this respect, to say the least. A Dr. Humphreys, whose committal for non-payment of a judgment debt was asked, explained that though, he had a practice in Camden town "he had ao much opposition "that he oould scarcely get a living." The competition was so great, he said, "that some of the medical men attended patients for 2Jd per week!" And the Judge showed his belief in the existence of this state of things by refusing to make any order*
