THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH NEDAR TIMARU.

TIMAEU, January 11.
An inquest touching the death of David; Mime, whose body wae found on Thursday morning in Pighunting Greek*; near the township of Beacon afield, was held this morning. After eliciting the particulars which I sent you on Thursday evening, the evidence of Dr Hogg was led, and was to tWefEect th»t hehad made a, post mortem, examination of the body. The appearances went to show that the body had been in the water several days. An examination of the heart, chest, and lungs led him to form the opinion that death had been caused by drowning. There were "no marka of violence on the body, there being only a slight abratdon on the forehead. The Coroner said that there was nothing to ahpw directly how de*th had. oecerred. He eKmght, however, after they had heard the medical evidence, that they would have no hesitation in returning an open verdict of "Pound drowned." The jury were ™»»»»vm ualy of this conclusion.
