TIMARU.

Our correspondent telegraphs:—At the Bicycle Club's sports to-day the most attractive feature was the splendid riding of Langdown, of the P. 8.& He met A. C. Wilmot in the Five Mile Championship, and letting the N.C.B.C. crack do all the piloting to the last quarter, came away ■with ease, won by twelve lengths, and put up the time as 16min 46sec on a cinder path with awkward turns. In the Ten mile Langdown made havoc of his field, winning by a quarter of a mile, in 36min losec. lie also won the Two Miles very cleverly in 6inin 3sec. Of the other wins, Fyfe, of the Tourists, and Lawrenson, of the S.C.C.C., got a couple each, and Colin McDonald won the Ladies' Bracelet. The •weather was very fine but the attendance poor. The annual flower, show day was very successful, but there was almost a total absence of foreign competition, all the prizes, both in the open and amateur classes, being taken by local men.
