WELLINGTON, December 17.
A young man named Frank Eoss, agei twenty-seven, was drowned in the harbo* at five o'clock this evening. He was a ' laborer on the hulk European, lying along* side the wharf, and in ascending from • boat on to the hulk, caught hold of • fender, which gave way, and deceased fell into the water and never rose.
