The U.SIS. Company's s.a. Grafton arrived in port yesterday afternoon from Dunedin, which port she left on the 7th at G p.m., and en route called at Tiniaru and Akaroa. From Havelock,. the ketch Clematis, limber laden, arrived in port yesterday morning. . For Auckland, with a foil cargo of prodnee, the ketch Catlin sailed at 12.30 p.m. yesterday. On Saturday evening the s.s. "Wakatu steamed for Kaikoura and Wellington. With'a full cargo of produce from this port, the Union Steamship Company's &.S. Ohan steamed for Sjdney on Saturday • afternoon.

At 9.15 p.m. on Saturday the Union Steamship Company , ? s.s. Wainui steamed for Wellington. This vessel takes up the Penguin's running during that steamer's lay-up in Dnnedin. The barque Mataura will be floated out of dock to-morrow, and proceeds straight away to. Napier, where she loads for London, As the R.M. s.s. lonic was late iq leaving Hawke's Bay on Saturday, she did not arrive in Port yesterday, but should be showing up at an early hour this morning. The S.&, Akaroa arrived in port from Akaroa on Saturday morning, and at 5 p.m. was taken on the patent slip fur cleaning. The Union Company's steamer Penguin, Captain Allman, arrived at 6.30 a.m. on Saturday from Manukau, Taranaki, Nelson, Picton and Wellington. Mr Morris, her purser, reports leaving Manukau on Tuesoay, the 4th. Taranaki on sth, Kelson and Picton 6th, Wellington on 7th, and arrived as stated above. She steamed forDunedin direct shortly after noon. At the Company's headquarters she- will be docked and receive a thorough overhaul, and may be expected to return here on Monday, 17th inst. Wool is coming to hand freely for the ■hip Waimate and barque Wave Queen, now loading for the Home markets, and they should receive quick dispatch. The former.vessel has now close on 500 bales of wool on board, and the latter 1700 of wool mod flax, besides 190 casks tallow. The ketch Reliance arrived at Greymouth from Lyttelton on Saturday morning, and in the evening sailed for Waitara, where she loads for Lyttelton'. The ketch Comet, from Gisborae, arrived at Tiraara on Friday night. She loads at - that port for ~WanganuL The schooner Lily arrived at Oamaru from Napier on Saturday. She loads back at that port for Napier. As will be seen by advertisement in another column, the Akaroa and Bay trader s.s. .Jane Douglas- will commence her usual running to-morro#.
