HURUNUI RABBIT BOARD.
A special meeting of this Board was held on Saturday, 24th instant, for the purpose of electing officers. The following members were present—Messrs M'Kae, Rutherford, M'fc'arlane, and Greenwood. A letter from Mr Little apologising for absence was read. Mr Greenwood proposed Mr M'Rae should be Chairman. Mr M'Rae expressed a w!*h to be relieved of the duties, as it was dilficult for him, living at such a distance, to attend regularly. Mr M'Farlane proposed Air Rutherford be Chairman. Mr Rutherford would not accept the position, but would be Klad to act when Mr M'Rae could not attend. Mr M'Farlane's reason for proposing Mr Rutherford was that he was more accessible and could be in attendance more regularly. After some discussion Mr M'Farlane consented to withdraw his motion, when it was unanimously carried that Mr M'Rae be re elected Chairman. On the motion of Mr Rutherford, seconded by Mr Greenwood, Mr M'Farlane was reelected Treasurer. Some routine business having been transacted, the meeting concluded.
