SHEEP ON THE AUCKLAND ISLANDS.
AUCKLAND, November 21. The Stella has returned from a cruise among ths Auckland Islands. Captain Fairchild a year ago as an experiment, placed twenty-five sheep on the Islands. He reports that they have increased 100 per cent, and the lambs are healthy and hardy. Shipwrecked seamen cast upon those shores will consider the experiment a wise one.
