From Akaroa the s.s. Akaroa asrived in port at 8.90 a-m. on Saturday. The, ketch Kestrel for Kaiapoi, and the schooner Lily for Napier, resumed their passages from this port on Friday night. The latter vessel put in to ship two hands. Tins Union Company's steamer Rotorua, Captain B. Neville, arrived from Mannkau,via Northern ports, at 10.20 a.m. on Saturday. Her purser, Mr Thomas Paterson, reports leaving Onehunga wharf at 9.50 a.vi., and crossed Manuk&a bar at 11.40 a.m. on the 20th, and arrived at New Plymouth at 0.30 a.m. on the 21st. Left again at 11.15 a.m., and arrived at Nelson on 22nd at 1.5 a.m. Left again at 11 a.m., called at Picton, and arrivea at Wellington at 2.30 a.m. on the 23rd. Sailed thence at 2.10 p.m., and arrived as stated above. Experienced strong southerly winds, accompanied with bead seas, throughout the trip. She •beamed hence for Wellington at 9.15 o'clock on Saturday night. The barque Conference, for Sydney, completed her loading on Saturday. The barque Thurso, for Sydney, will be » full ship to-day, and is to sail this afternoon.
For "Westport the Union Steamship Company's s.s. Wainui steamed hence on Saturday evening. * The S.S. Herald, bound to Greymonth team Dunedin, passed the Heads yesterday morning. From Dunedin, via Oamaru, the s,s. Koranui arrived in Port at 9.30 a.m. yesterday, and was berthed at the Screw Pile Jetty. She left Donedin at 10 pan. OB the 23rd, and arrived at Oamaru at 4.30 a-rn. on the 24th, leaving at 5 p.m. the same day, Arriving here as above, having experienced fine weather throughout. At 1.40 p.m. yesterday the Union Steamship Company s s.s. Grafton arrived in port from Dunedin via way ports. Mr Deo. Martin, her purser, reports leaving I>nnedin on the 23rd instant, and calling at Timarn and Akaroa en route, leaving toe latter port at 8.40 a-m. yesterday, arriving as above, having experienced very cold and stormy weather to Timaru, thence to arrival light variable winds and smooth sea.
From Timaru the s.s. "Wakatipu arrived Iα port at &30 a.m. yesterday. She took in SOO tons of cargo for Sydney at that port, and is to load 900 tons here, leaving for Sydney via Wellington on Tuesday.
