RIFLE SHOOTING.

On Saturday afternoon the annual match was lired oil' between the North Canterbury and Christchurch Rifle t.lubs on the range of cue latter, atHillsborough. The light, as is usual with sou-west weather, was most puzzling even to experienced shots, and the Northerners having fewer aew hands in their team than the Christchurch Club, managed to win with the large margin of 54 points. The conditions of the match were seven shots, at 200, SOU, and 500 yards, Wimbledon targets and scoring. Appended is the score list. At the conclusion of the shooting the North Canterbury Captain announced that his Club will be pleased to ccc a big muster of Christchurch men on the occasion of their annual Held day, December 17th, and handed round a few copies of their programme, which, as usual with the Northern Club, is of a most enticing nature.
